Hoping things will change is not enough

As I sit here, I think of how great this country was just twenty years ago.

I think of how Bill Clinton let Bin Laden get away over, and over again for Political purposes.

I think of how hated George W. Bush is even though he kept us safe for 7+ years and I no longer recognize my country. The country I grew up in was filled with Patriots who loved her, she was filled with people who new and cared about the person next door. That for the most part is gone and hoping things will change is just NOT enough.

Thomas Jefferson warned about a government that became too powerful, and in the words of Ronald Reagan, "Government is not the solution to the problem, Government is the problem". That great man was a true believer and when I flew to Washington to attend his funeral along with family members, I saw the same Patriotism I had not seen in many years, in the eyes of every single American waiting in line to pay their last respects to that great man.

We have bankrupted this country with Socialist policy and we have plenty of blame to go around. The Democrats have turned into Socialists and the Republicans have become week and forgotten most of their conservative principles.

We need so much change. Our children are being taught lies in school and college. The mainstream media is so far to the left, they are willing to lose money, to push the left wing agenda they all seem to follow. The only news I will watch is the Fox News Channel because at least they give you both sides.

No, hoping things will change is not enough. It is up to EVERY American to start paying attention to what is happening in this country. Our borders are wide open. People who do not belong here, and not because they are from another country, but because they are here illegally, are bankrupting our health care system, committing crime after crime, and aren't being deported and so on and so on. Just the health care cost of illegals is some 60 to 70 billion dollars per year. This is not sustainable, and before you click off, look to the right of this blog and just take a moment to think about the debt piling up on our children and Grand Children.

Please decide to get involved in this country, before it is too late. Anyone in public office who has voted for all these different spending programs, be it tarp, or stimulus, or whatever name given has got to GO. I don't care if they are a Democrat or a Republican, this just needs to stop and these people need to go.

There is NO such thing as a free lunch. It doesn't matter what giveaway program the Government comes up with today, our children will still be saddled with it tomorrow.

I personally think we need term limits on Senators and Congressman. People like Ted Kennedy who think of themselves as American Royalty have to go. Now make no mistake, I have no ill will towards Mr. Kennedy and I am sorry he is ill, however his policies are part of what is bankrupting this country. It is time for him to retire.

Another solution to fix Medicare and Social Security is this. We need to make every politician retire on the same Social Security you and I get, and watch how fast it gets fixed. Now lets take away some of the raises they have voted for themselves. Lets take away the cars and drivers they are provided, and have them start paying for themselves out of that sweet govt. salary they vote for themselves. If they have to live and retire as we do, things will get fixed, and very quickly. Most people have to work twenty years or more to get a pension, but not a Congressman or Senator. They only need to serve for 5 or 6 years, then they can collect up to 80% when they retire. Now tell me that is fair?

Again, hoping things will change is NOT enough. They all need to go. Look up the voting record of your representatives and vote them out the next election. Lets get some new blood in the house and senate and at last let these people know, if you waste our money, you will be FIRED!,
